A Message From Rev. Rony Reyes...It is a privilege to introduce to North Shore Baptist Family my book, Apocalyptic Anointing.  It is about my early spiritual encounters with the Holy Spirit.  Although the book’s original audiences are Pentecostal/Charismatic, nevertheless, everyone who is interested in spiritual gifts, visions and dreams, and want to deepen an understanding of the person and work of the Holy Spirit will benefit from buying this book (www.amazon.com or www.emethpress.com).  The book should be released sometime early October.  For more information visit the book’s website: http://apocalypticanointing.com.

  Annie Joe Dawson Nativity Sets

For over 50 years, the name “Annie Joe’s” have been synonymous with beautiful ceramic and porcelain figurines. Named for their creator, Annie Joe Howel Dawson, a 80-year member of North Shore , these items have become cherished possessions in many homes.

What started as a hobby, become a labor of love for Mrs. Dawson as she, with her many friends, poured molds, baked in her own kilns and then hand-painted each piece. The object of her affection was the Central Baptist Children’s Home, and for many years, the Christmas trees, angels—which were her signature, and nativity sets raised funds through the Women’s Auxiliary for CBCH. Dr. Karl Gustin, another long-time member, custom crafted the wood stable to house the nativity’s figurines.

Since these beloved members’ passing and the transition of CBCH to Kids Hope United, Dr. Donald Brown and Martha May have continued to produce these Nativity sets in limited numbers. At this time, we have 3 sets to offer for a donation of $150 each. The proceeds will benefit the Karen Welcome Pantry, which helps to provide some of the items needed as these refugee families are moving into our community. We believe that we are honoring the spirit of service and commitment which embodied Annie Joe, and that you will enjoy them as much as we do.
