Comlan
Azondjagni who goes by Holale meaning “the savior is alive” is
from
Togo
, a French speaking
West Africa
country. He came to the
United States
in 2001 and joined
North
Shore
Baptist
Church
in 2002. Holale became a student at the Garrett Evangelical and
Theological Seminary and earned a Masters of Art in Evangelism and
Spiritual Formation (MAESF) in 2006. Pursuing his calling to be a
Pastor, Holale is currently working on his Master of Divinity (MDiv)
at Garrett Seminary while on track toward ordination with the
American Baptist Church of Metro Chicago. He is currently a
Seminarian Intern at
North
Shore
Baptist
Church
where he realizes that his faith journey is a blessing as he works
with his senior Pastors especially Rev
Carol McVetty and Rev Douglas
Harris. Holale has a double vision for his ministry; his first
vision is to reach out to the French speaking immigrants and bring
them together as a community of Faith. He also feels called by God
to be involved in church leadership and church plants in Africa
through his evangelism ministry and develop a way to challenge and
transform the Gospel of prosperity into the true Gospel of Christ
in West Africa. He understands that the gospel proclamation is all
about community and communication. The passion of Christ and the
compassion for the people of God are the road maps for his
ministry. He misses his dad who passed away in 2002 and his Mom
who went to be with God in 2006. Outside church, he loves jogging,
playing soccer, and visiting libraries. For Holale, all is well in
Christ.
“Therefore, as God chosen people,
Holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion,
kindness, humility, and patience.” Colossians 3:12
